Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a kitchen fire at the Cocina Madrigal restaurant, located near 16th Street and Broadway Road. The building was swiftly evacuated while emergency personnel extinguished the blaze and vented the structure through the roof.
According to Phoenix Fire, no injuries were reported during the incident. The restaurant, however, will remain closed for an undetermined period as it recovers from the fire damages. An ongoing investigation aims to determine the cause of the fire.
