Godlewski Criticizes Trump’s ‘Gold-Plated Swamp’, Calls GOP Candidate a ‘Swamp Creature’

TL/DR –

Sarah Godlewski, Secretary of State and lieutenant governor candidate, criticized former President Donald Trump and Rep. Tom Tiffany in her speech to Democrat activists. Godlewski accused Trump of self-service and corruption, claiming he left taxpayers with a $400 million bill for his “golden ballroom”, tried to create a $1.7 billion fund for Jan. 6 insurrectionists, and added $4 billion to his personal net worth while in office. She also criticized Tiffany for consistently voting with Trump, and used his phrase “you betcha” to highlight his support for Trump’s actions, such as cutting healthcare and abolishing the Department of Education.

Secretary of State Sarah Godlewski Slams President Trump in Speech to Dem Activists

Speaking to Democratic activists, Secretary of State Sarah Godlewski accused President Donald Trump of transforming Washington, D.C.’s swamp into a gold-plated facsimile bearing his name rather than cleaning it up as promised.

Godlewski, who’s campaigning for lieutenant governor, lambasted Trump for burdening taxpayers with a $400 million expenditure for his “golden ballroom,” endeavouring to generate a $1.7 billion fund for Jan. 6 insurrectionists, and augmenting his personal net worth by $4 billion during his term.

“This is not public service, it’s self-service,” Godlewski asserted, labelling the actions as corruption.

She proceeded to criticize northern U.S. Representative Tom Tiffany, the prominent GOP candidate for governor, branding him a “swamp creature” and questioning his authenticity as a northern Wisconsin native.

According to Godlewski, Tiffany, who frequently uses the phrase “you betcha,” voted in line with Trump on every occasion, seemingly agreeing to policies such as healthcare cuts, Department of Education abolishment, and instigating a perilous war with Iran.

She concluded her speech by humorously suggesting that Rep. Tiffany needed to be reminded that Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort is not located in Minocqua, Wisconsin.
