The suspect was reportedly driving a Gray Pontiac Grand Prix recklessly near the intersection of 8th Avenue and Jackson Street at around 8 p.m.
Officers attempted to halt the vehicle, but the driver allegedly tried to collide head-on with a police cruiser. The chase proceeded into Kent County, with the suspect driving recklessly until he eventually stopped on Wilson Avenue, south of 44th Street in Grandville.
Deputies arrested the 38-year-old driver, who was later booked into the Ottawa County Jail on multiple charges. No injuries or property damage were reported in this Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office incident.
