Heidi Lynne Moore, 70, of Marquette, Michigan, passed away peacefully at her home on November 14. Born on April 13, 1953 in Manistee to Herman and Margaret Schmitzer, Heidi was a 1971 graduate of Manistee High School and holder of a Bachelor’s in Nursing from Northern Michigan University.

Heidi was a dedicated nurse who worked at Portage Hospital in Hancock, and Marquette General Hospital, assisting in the birth of roughly two thousand babies. A gifted gardener and knitter, Heidi loved creating handknit socks for her family every Christmas and knitting hats and scarves for donations during winter. Her strong belief in the ministry of prayer knitting led her to make Prayer Shawls even during her hospitalization in 2017.

Services for Heidi will be held on Tuesday, November 28th at Redeemer Lutheran Church.
