The accused’s actions were described as ‘political violence personified’ due to his series of vicious attacks on police officers during the riot.

Another participant who attacked police with a pole has also been jailed for 20 years.

Meanwhile, a Thurmont man was found guilty of two felonies and other crimes related to the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.
