The police attempted to stop the stolen vehicle, initiating a chase that started near Junction Boulevard and Tryon Road. The stolen Kia Forte was picked up by Flock cameras. The chase carried over into Raleigh before the driver ran a stop light at Lake Wheeler Road and Tryon Road causing the four-car crash.
All four injured individuals, including the two-year-old, sustained minor injuries. One person was transported to Wake Med Cary for treatment. The crash involved a gray sedan, a black Mercedes Benz, an Audi SUV, and the stolen Kia Forte.
Two out of three occupants in the stolen Kia fled the scene but were later apprehended. The individuals were aged 19 and 16. Police discovered three concealed guns in the stolen vehicle.
Charges against the arrested individuals are expected, according to Garner police.
