NC Woman on the Run After Boyfriend’s Murder, Uses Victim’s Card: Police



Police in North Carolina are searching for Vicki Renee Russell, who is suspected of murdering her boyfriend, Alexander Atkinson. Atkinson’s body was discovered in his home following a welfare check; investigators believe he died from an assault. Russell, now wanted for first-degree murder, is thought to be using Atkinson’s debit card and vehicle.

North Carolina Woman Suspected of Murder Still on the Run

Authorities in Edgecombe County, North Carolina are on the hunt for a woman suspected of killing her boyfriend. Vicki Renee Russell is currently wanted on charges of first-degree murder.

The body of her boyfriend, 60-year-old Alexander Atkinson, was discovered by deputies during a wellbeing check at his Macclesfield home, located off NC Highway 124 West. Police reports suggest that Atkinson had been dead for some time and that the cause of death was an assault.

Investigations reveal that Russell has been using Atkinson’s debit card and driving his vehicle following his death. She was last seen in the Raleigh area on Friday morning, according to deputies.
