TL/DR –
Phoenix New Times is hosting its first-ever members-only event on December 14, which will focus on Phoenix’s dining scene and food culture. Attendees will have the chance to meet and interact with the editorial staff, as well as participate in a Q&A session with veteran food critic Dominic Armato. The event aims to celebrate the members who have supported the publication for years, and admission requires a membership subscription to the New Times.
Phoenix New Times Celebrates Members with an Exclusive Happy-Hour Event
The holidays pair perfectly with food, and we, the Phoenix New Times, are celebrating our loyal members with a festive occasion featuring just that. Our first-ever members-only event aims to honor the growing number of supporters who’ve engaged with our membership program and contributed to our impactful journalism since 1970.
The members-only happy-hour event will take place on Dec. 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. at our office located at 1201 E. Jefferson St. We look forward to creating an intimate and inclusive atmosphere where our members can interact with our editorial staff over some refreshments.
Considering our extensive knowledge of Phoenix’s dynamic food culture, we’re focusing the event around food discussions. We’ll delve into everything from restaurant reviews, local chef profiles, to a list of must-visit eateries and the evolution of Phoenix dining scene over the years.
The highlight of the event will be a Q&A session with veteran food critic, Dominic Armato. Dominic has been sharing his restaurant critiques with us since February, adding flavor to our commentary on Phoenix’s diverse restaurant landscape. His insights on the unique foodways in the Southwest, from unusual ingredients and atypical growing seasons to the influence of indigenous foods and Mexican culture, will be the centerpiece of the discussion.
If you are interested in attending this members-only event, please become a member and keep an eye on your inbox for the exclusive invite. Spaces are limited, and priority will be given to existing members.
A Celebration of Community and Shared Passion
Our membership manager, Lily Black, expresses her excitement in planning this event. She sees it as a testament to the vibrant community that Phoenix New Times has nurtured and the shared passion that unites us all. This exclusive gathering serves as a token of appreciation for the unwavering support and engagement of our members who have been an integral part of our journey over the years.
