The incident occurred on December 7, around 10:49 p.m., near the Haywood and Martin street intersection, when Whitley-Taylor allegedly approached a parked patrol car and opened fire on two Raleigh officers. Police reports indicate that the suspect fired his weapon nine times from his vehicle’s driver’s side window, leading to one officer returning fire.

Interestingly, no injuries were reported in this shooting incident. Whitley-Taylor now faces charges which include:
