Continuing efforts are focused on salvage and overhaul operations to protect as much of the residents’ belongings as possible.

“Our crews are conducting thorough checks for any remaining hot spots to avoid any flare-ups during the evening hours,” stated Captain Kim Ragsdale, the Public Information Officer with the Phoenix Fire Department.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident. The displaced residents, now left homeless, are receiving support from the Community Assistance Program.
