Severe Injury in South Phoenix DUI Crash: Police Report



A serious road accident in south Phoenix has left one man with critical injuries and another in police custody on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI). The accident occurred on Central Avenue and Dobbins Road, with the accused 26-year-old driver alleged to have caused the accident while attempting to overtake the victim’s vehicle. The suspect has been charged with aggravated assault and DUI, while the injured man remains in a critical but stable condition in the hospital.

DUI Crash in South Phoenix Leaves One Man Seriously Injured, One in Custody

A man is critically injured and another is under arrest following a suspected DUI crash in South Phoenix. Phoenix police responded to a reported collision involving injuries at Central Avenue and Dobbins Road in the early morning hours.

Upon arrival, officers discovered a man with severe injuries. He was immediately transported to the hospital where he remains in critical yet stable condition. His identity has not yet been disclosed.

The other party involved, a 26-year-old male, was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. He is now facing potential charges of aggravated assault and DUI. Subsequent legal proceedings are anticipated.

According to initial investigations, it is believed that the injured man attempted to make a left turn from Dobbins Road onto Central Avenue. Simultaneously, the second vehicle attempted to overtake him from the left, subsequently causing the accident.
