St. George’s University (SGU), the leading medical school in Grenada, announced that it has secured U.S. residencies for 1,015 of its students and graduates in the 2025 match cycle. This marks SGU’s 11th consecutive year as the largest source of new doctors for first-year U.S. residencies.

SGU’s Dean, Dr. Marios Loukas, expressed his pride in the exceptional class of students, emphasizing their dedication and resilience resulted in this impressive achievement. The students and graduates have matched into residences in 20 specialties across 41 U.S. states and the District of Columbia, with more matches expected soon.

The broad range of specialties include highly competitive fields such as neurology, surgery, emergency medicine, and pediatrics. Many of the graduates will begin their medical careers in their home states or cities.

Since 2015, more than two-thirds of SGU graduates have entered primary care specialties and many serve in medically underserved areas.
