On April 9, 2024, on-air and behind-the-scenes employees from WLOS are dedicating their time to Western Carolina Rescue Ministries in a community effort for Sinclair Day of Service.

The ministry acts as a beacon for those struggling with homelessness, poverty, and substance abuse in Western North Carolina. On this day, the WLOS staff will be working in the kitchen, preparing meals and food boxes for families in need.

Executive Director Michael Woods emphasizes the importance of volunteers for their operation. “As the largest emergency shelter in Western North Carolina, we can’t serve our large number of daily guests without volunteers,” Woods stated.
