A Texas mother was arrested in connection with a bullying incident that landed her son’s alleged bully in the hospital due to a questionable sports drink. The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office reports that the mother, Jennifer Lynn Rossi, 45, mixed lemon, salt and vinegar into a sports drink to deter theft of her son’s beverages at school.

The Sheriff’s Office stated that her son gave the bottle to another student during P.E. class, who shortly afterwards experienced nausea and a headache from the drink. Authorities were subsequently called to the Legacy Traditional School in Alamo Ranch due to the child’s illness.

Despite lemon, salt, and vinegar being non-toxic, the incident resulted in the victim requiring hospitalization for monitoring. The student was discharged after receiving necessary care. Further investigation by the Sheriff’s Office linked Rossi to the incident, establishing that she intentionally mixed the drink.

Rossi now faces charges of injury to a child causing bodily injury and was booked into Bexar County Jail with a $1,000 bond.
