Trump’s Hush Money Case Hearing & Bond Deadline in Fraud Case

Former President Trump returns after a pre-trial hearing in New York on March 25.

Donald Trump received an extension for posting his bond in the civil fraud judgment against him. An appeals court ruling cut down the amount to $175 million and granted him 10 additional days to fulfill the obligation.

Following a separate hush money case hearing in New York, Trump expressed his respect for the court’s decision. He confirmed his intention to post the $175 million “in cash or bonds or security or whatever is necessary” within the provided timeframe.

While exiting the courtroom, Trump claimed it would be his “honor to post”. He also responded to a reporter’s question, suggesting he would use cash as collateral.

In contrast, Trump criticized Judge Arthur Engoron, responsible for the initial ruling in the civil fraud case requiring payment of the full $464 million judgment. Trump stated that Engoron’s decision was a “disservice” and branded him as a “disgrace to this country.”
