The U-M Museum of Natural History has family-oriented discovery demos every Saturday and Sunday, excluding September 2nd and 3rd. These 20-minute hands-on demonstrations are suitable for those aged 5 and up and include “How to Become a Fossil” at 11 a.m., which explores the formation of fossils, and “Out of the Water and Back Again: A Whale’s Tale” at 3 p.m., looking at the evolutionary history of whales using the museum’s fossil specimens.
