Coros, a leading brand in the manufacture of high-quality running watches, recently announced a series of updates. These updates include voice alerts, in-app training plans, and the capability to modify the number of repetitions in a strength workout directly from your watch. Here are the key highlights:

In-App Libraries of Training Plans and Workouts

Coros provides a range of pre-built training plans to fulfill various objectives, like running your first marathon or surpassing 25 minutes in a 5K race. Now, you can explore and select these options directly from the Coros app.

Simply navigate to the Profile section on the Coros app and select Training Plan Library or Workout Library to view all the choices. There are individual tabs for official content from Coros, and “My Workouts” to exhibit only the workouts you’ve created or saved for yourself.

Editing Repetitions Directly from the Watch

During a strength workout, a Coros watch can attempt to count reps, but the accuracy may sometimes be off. The latest update allows you to instantly edit the rep count on your watch right after the set.

The strength training feature also includes animations for each exercise. To enable this, go to the Profile tab in the app and tap “Download now” to get the animation files onto your device. Your watch will guide you on how to do this.

Voice Alerts During Your Run

In the past, a Coros watch could beep to inform you of an upcoming turn on a route you’re following. Now, voice alerts are available for pace, distance, upcoming turns, and even nutrition reminders (prompting you to eat during a run).

Voice alerts, like exercise animations, also require a file download. Go to Profile, your device, and File Downloads to ensure they’re added before your run.

Apart from this, the update introduces additional workout modes like yoga and pilates, an AI chatbot for assistance, alerts for when you’re running a route backwards, and more. This includes revamped controls designed to be more touchscreen-friendly, especially for touchscreen watches like the Pace Pro.
