Instant Clinician Video Access via Whoop: Revolutionary Healthcare

Whoop Enhances User Experience with New Features

Whoop, the screen-free fitness wearable choice for over 2.5 million health-conscious individuals, is now rolling out on-demand video consultations with healthcare professionals for its subscribers.

On-Demand Health Consultations from Whoop

Whoop’s recent announcement states that live consultations with licensed clinicians will be available for users in the U.S. starting this summer. The novelty of this feature is that healthcare professionals will have access to biometric data collected in the app to aid in interpreting your health information.

Competing with Google and Fitbit

Interestingly, Whoop’s innovative move follows closely on the heels of the release of Google and Fitbit’s Whoop competitor, powered by Google Gemini.

Additional New Features from Whoop

As part of its commitment to supporting your fitness goals, Whoop is partnering with health records company HealthEx to offer Electronic Health Record (EHR) syncing. This allows you to keep track of your health history, including diagnoses, medications, and procedures, right within the app.

Whoop is also introducing AI-powered personalized coaching. Accessible via the new AI feature called My Memory, this coaching platform provides a centralized location to view, manage, and train Whoop’s AI. Moreover, Whoop’s Proactive Check-Ins feature will offer personalized recommendations, such as when to sleep ahead of a big event or how to adjust your training regimen based on travel plans.

Note, however, that while most of these new features will be included in the paid membership, live video consultations will require an extra cost, yet to be announced.

The Future of Whoop’s Services

Ed Baker, Whoop Chief Product Officer, emphasized the company’s dedication to delivering value to its members: “We’re always asking how we can deliver more value to our members, and these upcoming features are some of the most meaningful we’ve ever built, from bringing clinician support directly into the app to advancing our AI coaching to be more personal and actionable than ever.”

In a statement to CNBC, Whoop clarified that the live consultation feature is not meant to replace a primary doctor or emergency visit.
