Park City Unveils Expanded Free Fitness Park

Park City Unveils New Open-Air Fitness Park

A welcome development in Park City, Kansas, is the introduction of a new outdoor fitness park. Aimed at fostering a healthy lifestyle, the park also serves as a gathering place for the community.

Fostering Community Health Through Partnership

In a collaborative endeavor with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas, the project incorporates seven exercise stations that utilize body weight. Each station comes with detailed instructions to guide users in their workouts.

Leveraging Outdoor Fitness Opportunities

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for not just Park City residents, but everyone in Wichita, to take advantage of this fitness court. It’s a great resource to maintain and improve health,” states Michaela Valcoure.

Promoting Healthy Living in Sedgwick County

The park is part of a broader initiative to promote a healthy lifestyle in Sedgwick County. Not unique to Park City, similar fitness parks have been set up in other Kansas communities. Blue Cross and Blue Shield officials assert their goal is to ensure workout equipment becomes more accessible, no matter where people reside.
