Boost Strength & Freedom with Woodbridge CrossFit’s 55+ Legends Program
Enhancing Fitness and Independence with CrossFit Woodbridge’s Legends Program

As you age, maintaining strength, mobility, and independence becomes increasingly critical. CrossFit Woodbridge recognizes this and aims to make strength and fitness training more accessible to local adults aged 55 and above through its Legends Program.
Experience the Legends Program at a Complimentary Session
You’re invited to a free Q&A session about the 55+ Legends Program on Thursday, Sept. 24, at 12:30 p.m. at CrossFit Woodbridge, 3310 Noble Pond Way, Woodbridge. No registration is required, giving you the chance to learn about the program before deciding to participate.
Building strength for everyday life
The Legends Program at CrossFit Woodbridge was developed around a simple concept: Aging doesn’t have to mean sacrificing strength, capability, or independence.
“Our aim is to provide adults 55+ with a program designed to build and maintain strength, mobility, balance, coordination, and cardiovascular health in a supportive environment,” states Nadine Shurland, MBA, Social Media & Member Relations for CrossFit Woodbridge.
The program’s focus is on helping participants stay active and continue enjoying the activities they love. Coaches are equipped to adjust exercises to accommodate individual abilities, ensuring a personalized approach to fitness.
No CrossFit Experience Required
Even if you’ve never tried CrossFit or if you’ve taken a break from exercising for a while, the Legends Program is open to you. The program also welcomes participants who have maintained an active lifestyle.
Coaches can adapt movements, range of motion, weights, repetitions, and workout intensity according to your abilities and needs. The objective is to provide a suitable challenge while helping you move safely and confidently.
One common misconception that the team at CrossFit Woodbridge seeks to dispel is the idea that you need to be fit before starting. “You don’t need to be fit to start,” Shurland emphasizes. “Our coach modifies the workouts to fit your current abilities, and you can build from there.”
A Focus on Independence
Legends participants at CrossFit Woodbridge have seen improvements in strength, balance, mobility, coordination, cardiovascular fitness, and confidence in everyday movements. The ultimate goal is to help maintain independence and enable participants to continue activities important to them.
The team at CrossFit Woodbridge seeks to understand your current fitness level, movement abilities, and any limitations or concerns that could affect your exercise before starting the program. If you have a significant medical condition, recent surgery or injury, unexplained symptoms, or concerns about whether exercise is suitable for you, it is recommended to consult your doctor before beginning. Although coaches can modify exercises, the program is not intended as a substitute for medical care.
Learn about Legends at a Free Q&A
During the Sept. 24 Q&A, Coach Joe will explain what a typical Legends class entails, how the programming works, and how exercises can be adjusted. You can also ask questions about workouts and membership. No special equipment is needed to attend the session.
The Legends Program meets Mondays and Wednesdays at 11 a.m. New participants can attend two free classes to experience the program, meet the coaches and fellow participants, and determine if it suits them.
The free Q&A starts at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 24 at CrossFit Woodbridge, 3310 Noble Pond Way, Woodbridge. No advance registration is needed.
