Boost Your Health: Top Fitness Solutions in Corpus Christi

A forthcoming community health fair is providing free fitness activities aimed at encouraging active lifestyles. This is in response to Corpus Christi’s ranking as the 97th place in a WalletHub survey of American cities with the best to worst active lifestyles.

Community Engagement in Health Fairs

Charles McCrann, the owner of McCrann Insurance Company, stated, “There has been a decline in the community’s participation in health fairs since the onset of COVID. That’s why we decided to commence 2025 with a small health fair.”

Free Fitness Activities for the Community

An array of vendors will be providing free Zumba and fitness opportunities at the health fair, aiming to connect residents with more active organizations.

“We have received an overwhelming response, from various groups ranging from dentists to CPAs to bookkeepers to Zumba instructors,” McCrann remarked.

Importance of Health Screening and Nutritional Values

Health screenings and nutritional values will also be presented at the community health fair, in light of the impact that declining health can have on the level of fitness activities.

“These resources are here to help you. We pride ourselves on serving the local community,” said April Vasquez, McCrann Insurance Marketing Agent and Event Coordinator.

Addressing Uninsured Community Members

In some instances, being uninsured can lead to a disregard for one’s health. The upcoming community health fair thus also aims to address the issue of health insurance.

“One of the main objectives of the fair is to provide the last opportunity for open enrollment for health insurance. Unfortunately, a large percentage of the Latino population in Texas, which is significant, are uninsured,” April Vasquez added.

Community Health Fair Venue

The community health fair will take place on Saturday at In the Game Funtrackers.
