Western New Yorker’s Unique Approach to Fundraising for Thanksgiving

Join an inspiring mission this Thanksgiving, led by a Western New Yorker who’s leveraging his passion for fitness. Marty Kretz, proprietor of MBody Health and Fitness, is turning his love for exercise into a noble cause – feeding families in need.

Pavement to Plates: A Fundraising Walk

The committed fitness enthusiast is initiating the “Pavement to Plates” fundraiser with a goal to complete 100,000 steps, almost 50 miles, within a single day on November 23. His effort aims to raise funds and amplify awareness for FeedMore Western New York, an organization dedicated to providing meals and nutritional support to families across Erie, Niagara, Chautauqua, and Cattaraugus counties.

Marty Kretz: A Trainer with a Heart

According to Kretz, the reason behind his profession as a trainer is his joy of helping people. He sees the initiative as another opportunity to assist people, especially by drawing attention to FeedMore Western New York and their mission.

Join the Cause

So far, Kretz’s effort has garnered over $500, and he hopes to boost this total before the big day. He extends an invitation to others to participate in the event. You can show your support through donations, sharing the information, or joining him for a portion of the walk. Those who sponsor or participate in the event will be acknowledged, and incentives such as T-shirts are available for donors.

The Importance of Giving

Collin Bishop, FeedMore WNY’s Chief Communication Officer, commends Marty’s effort, stating it comes at a very crucial period. With a surge in the number of people requiring nutritional assistance across their service areas, even the smallest form of help counts.

Making a Big Impact

Kretz esteems that his steps can motivate others to make a move, showcasing how small gestures can lead to a considerable impact. If you’re interested in donating, sponsoring, or participating in the “Pavement to Plates” walk, you can visit the campaign’s webpage.
