2024 FirstEnergy Akron Marathon: Aaron Davidson Takes the Men’s Title

Throngs of athletes and spectators, numbering over 8,000 and 100,000 respectively, descended upon Akron, Ohio for the 2024 FirstEnergy Akron Marathon. Among the victors was Aaron Davidson from Flagstaff, Arizona, who clinched the men’s race with a spectacular time of 2:25:30.

Community Spirit and Fitness – The Heart of Akron Marathon

Anne Bitong, the president & CEO of Akron Marathon Charitable Corporation, effused with satisfaction at the successful conclusion of this year’s Akron Marathon Race Series. According to her, “The energy from the community, the dedication of the participants, and the support from our sponsors–FirstEnergy, Summa Health, and the City of Akron–are what make this event so special. Our mission has always been to promote health, fitness, and community spirit, and it’s inspiring to see how the marathon continues to bring people together in pursuit of these goals.”

Astonishing Wins in the Women’s and Non-Binary Categories

Maura Lemon from Dayton took home the women’s title, crossing the finish line with an impressive time of 2:52:37. Grace Barnard from Stow was the proud winner of the non-binary category, finishing the race in 5:59:35.
