Health Investment

As the CEO of 73 Strings, Yann Magnan confessed to spending an average of $1,300 per month on maintaining his health, training for competitions, and ensuring he ages in a healthy manner.

Magnan, a French national, transitions between residing in New York City and London every two to three months. Often, he finds himself travelling between San Francisco, Paris, Dubai, and Singapore for seven to 10 days per month. As such, his fitness routine is designed to be adaptable, he explained.

Fitness Competitions

This April, Magnan is set to participate in his second Hyrox competition, an indoor fitness event comprising of eight functional workouts interspersed with eight kilometres of running.

To prepare for this, he runs and participates in approximately 12 fitness classes a week, including two back-to-back strength and cardio sessions from 6 a.m. to 8 a.m. every other weekday.

Fitness Impact on Work

Magnan believes his fitness schedule allows him to perform better at work and adds a fun element to his day.

He emphasizes on the importance of a morning fitness routine to clear his mind and start the day, especially given his extensive and stressful work days that can sometimes last up to 16 hours.

Above all, his objective is to age healthily. In his words, “The way I’m looking at things is that if I stay fit up to a certain level, I will stay in good health for a longer time. That’s how I look at it — as an investment in my future health.”
