News: Knoebels Secures Golden Ticket Awards for Best Wooden Roller Coaster and Cuisine
Knoebels Amusement Resort Wins Awards for Best Wooden Roller Coaster and Food
Knoebels Amusement Resort in Elysburg, Pa, has bagged two Golden Ticket Awards for best wooden roller coaster and best food. This marks the fifth consecutive year that the park’s roller coaster has bagged a Golden Ticket.
According to Knoebels, these accolades are bestowed by experienced and well-traveled amusement park fans. The park expressed gratitude for their guests’ feedback, which helps them strive for excellence.
Knoebels acquired the award-winning Phoenix roller coaster in 1985, following the closure of an amusement park in Texas where the coaster was originally called Rocket.
Phoenix was aptly named to signify its rebirth at Knoebels, rising from the ashes of its history as the Rocket roller coaster built in 1947 in San Antonio, Texas.
Additional Recognitions for Knoebels
Besides the Golden Tickets, Knoebels was also recognized for having the second-best guest experience and the second-best dark ride (Haunted Mansion). Furthermore, two of its wooden roller coasters, Flying Turns and Twister, ranked 23 and 27 respectively in the “Top 50 Wooden Roller Coasters”.
Three other Pennsylvania parks, namely Kennywood and Dutch Wonderland, won The Renaissance Award and Best Family Theme Park, while Hersheypark won the award for Best New Roller Coaster with Wildcat’s Revenge.
Knoebels assured its fans that they value these recognitions and all guest feedback, and will continue to strive for excellence.
