From Music to Mindfulness: Singer-Turned-Entrepreneur Opens Yoga and Fitness Studio in Woodbury
Get ready, Woodbury! A seasoned singer and songwriter is set to bring a new wave of wellness to the town with the opening of a unique yoga and fitness studio later this month.
Introducing ‘Here Hot Yoga & Strength’
Introducing Here Hot Yoga & Strength, an 1,800-square-foot studio located in the heart of Woodbury Town Plaza shopping center. This remarkable studio offers a unique blend of movement, sound, and mindfulness through their diverse class offerings, all in an energizing, music-infused environment.
The Brainchild of Gabrielle Ross
This innovative concept is the creation of Gabrielle Ross, a seasoned singer, songwriter, and performer with over 25 years of experience in the music industry. Ross, a Long Island native, has shared the stage with industry giants like Chaka Khan and Patti Labelle. Her love for fitness emerged from her constant pursuit of wellness while on tour and managing a health condition.
From Personal Healing to Public Wellness
During a life-changing trip to a yoga sanctuary in Costa Rica, Ross got the inspiration for this wellness space. Meditation in the jungle led to a vision of providing a similar tranquil, wellness-focused space for people back home. After a year of planning and construction, the Woodbury studio is finally set to open its doors to the public on March 31.
All Under One Roof: The Studio Features
Here Hot Yoga & Strength features 16 different classes, including a variety of yoga, strength, cardio, and fusion workouts. The studio also features both heated and non-heated rooms, showers, and massage therapy. The studio aims to offer everything needed for a comprehensive wellness practice – from hot yoga to strength training and amazing music.
Unique Membership Offers and Discounts
The studio is currently offering discounted founding memberships that range from three months to a year. Once these are sold out, memberships will range from $120 to $270 a month, offering different numbers of classes and discounts on workshops, in-house spa services, special events, and premium classes. Walk-in classes are made available at $40 per class.
Music: A Key Component in the Studio
True to Ross’s musical roots, music will play a significant role in the studio. Sound and frequency, she believes, are healing and motivating elements. Every Thursday night, the studio will offer a candlelit live-music Vinyasa flow with live piano and guitar, and a song sung by Ross in Shavasana at the end of every class.
