If you come from a military background like Mackenzie Robertson, you understand the importance of service. As a current active duty member continuously expanding her knowledge, Robertson is also a student in the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater’s Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.

Choosing the Right MBA Program

For someone balancing military service and education, flexibility is key. That’s what drew Robertson to the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater MBA program. Her choice was also influenced by the diverse professional backgrounds of her fellow students and the valuable perspectives they bring.

Building a Career in the Space Force

After graduating from the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA), Robertson was commissioned directly into the U.S. Space Force, a branch of the military dedicated to the country’s operations in space. As the first Warhawk to be part of the Space Force, it is an honor that aligns with the values she was raised with.

Today, Robertson works on a new program in the Military Communications and Position, Navigation, and Timing Directorate at the Space Systems Command. Her role involves collaborating with government contractors to develop space capabilities that support all branches of the military.

Robertson, who already has a B.S. in management, had been contemplating starting a graduate program for some time before enrolling at UW-Whitewater. The high-ranking MBA program, complemented by the flexibility it offers, made it the perfect choice for her.

A Bright Future in the Space Force

Robertson is confident about the opportunities for personal and professional growth that the military provides. There’s no set end date, and she plans to start a new assignment in August within the Assured Access to Space Directorate.
