Elaine Marshall, Secretary of State, focused on supporting small rural businesses through a program called Rural RISE.
She noted the importance of boosting small businesses in areas unable to attract larger companies. “We have to grow our own businesses from within, this program lets new entrepreneurs know what resources are available,” she said.
