USCIS Pauses Acceptance of Form I-134A Following Jan. 2025 Executive Order

TL/DR –

The US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has stopped accepting Form I-134A, Online Request to be a Supporter and Declaration of Financial Support, due to the 2025 Executive Order “Securing Our Borders”. This will continue until the categorical parole processes required by the order are reviewed. The stoppage is due to the order issued on January 20, 2025.


Changes in USCIS Form Processing due to Executive Order

In light of the Executive Order Securing Our Borders issued on Jan. 20, 2025, USCIS has temporarily ceased acceptance of Form I-134A, Online Request to be a Supporter and Declaration of Financial Support. The pause is mandated for a comprehensive review of all categorical parole processes as per the order.
