US Representative Dale Strong Highlights GOP’s First-Year Achievements

Earlier this week, U.S. Rep. Dale Strong (R-Huntsville) spoke on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives, detailing the accomplishments of the Republican Party under the leadership of President Donald Trump after 11 months in office.

In his address, rep. Strong emphasized the significant economic improvements under Republicans, citing the decrease in inflation from 5% to 2.5% and the drop in gas prices to a 4-year low, averaging $2.95 a gallon. He also referenced the resurgence of advanced manufacturing and industry on U.S. soil and the fact that over $8 trillion in investments secured by President Trump will fuel job growth and create opportunities.

A key part of the GOP’s economic policy, according to Strong, was to ensure that hardworking Americans retain more of their income. He specifically mentioned the Working Families Tax Cut, which he described as the most significant tax cut for middle- and working-class Americans in history, with measures such as no tax on tips and no tax on overtime.

Strong also touched on immigration and healthcare, stating that the southern border is closed and that individuals who entered the country illegally during the Biden administration from over 160 countries are being returned to their home countries. He criticized the burden that illegal aliens placed on American hospitals and the resulting healthcare costs, for which American taxpayers were responsible.

The Republican representative further highlighted the GOP’s commitment to cutting waste, fraud, and abuse, pointing out they had stopped funds being sent to foreign countries that hate America and made significant budget cuts. Among these was a cut of $600 million from National Public Radio and $24 billion from USAID.

Praising the Trump administration’s foreign policy, Strong referred to President Trump as the “President of peace,” citing the ending of eight wars in eight months. He mentioned the return of hostages, the setback of the Iranian nuclear program, and stability in the Middle East.

Finally, Strong criticized the Democrats and the Biden administration, accusing them of contributing to the rise in U.S. debt to over $38 trillion and inflation reaching its highest level in 40 years. He also considered the Green New Deal and ObamaCare scams on the U.S taxpayers.

Despite criticism, the representative concluded his address affirmatively, stating that President Trump and the Republican majority are making America better for its people and that “America is back.”
