Amazon Truck Fire Delays Delivery in Ann Arbor

An Amazon delivery was postponed in Ann Arbor, MI after the delivery truck caught fire in a driveway. The fire department was summoned around 11 a.m. to Vesper Road where the truck was ablaze.

The department shared a video on social media showing the fire consuming the truck’s front and smoke covering its sides. According to the fire officials, a mechanical failure in the engine had sparked the fire.

The fire was extinguished shortly after crews reached the scene, stated Ann Arbor fire Chief Mike Kennedy. There were no injuries reported.

Heat damage was observed on one nearby vehicle and the house trim. Some packages inside the delivery truck also suffered damage. Fire crews left the scene around 12:45 p.m.
