Arizona State University’s Music Industry Conference Returns

The Popular Music Program at Arizona State University (ASU) will host its second annual music industry conference in downtown Phoenix. This event aims to connect industry professionals, students, and the broader music community, offering hands-on learning experiences to shape the future of the recorded music industry.

“Phoenix houses numerous talented musicians and professionals in the music industry. This conference allows us to bring this vibrant community together and educate the future generation of musicians, DJs, producers, and entrepreneurs,” expressed Erin Barra-Jean, ASU Popular Music Program Director.

The conference will feature professionals from companies such as TikTok, Def Jam, TIDAL Music, Spotify, and Universal Music Group, and provide special presentations from Grammy and Emmy nominees. Participants can attend masterclasses, individual sessions, and studio sessions, and will have their material reviewed by A&R professionals.

The event kicks off on March 22 with a performance showcase at the Valley Bar. The conference will continue on March 23 at ASU’s latest downtown location, Fusion on First, equipped with professional recording studios, rehearsal and production spaces.

A Comprehensive Program for Music Enthusiasts

The Popular Music Program at ASU, housed within the School of Music, Dance and Theatre, prepares students for all aspects of the music industry, from performance to entrepreneurship.
