Book Sale at Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library Attracts Literature Enthusiasts

Book enthusiasts convened at the Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library for a much-anticipated book sale hosted by Friends of the Library; a passionate group fundraising for the Summer Reading Program and renovation projects.

In addition to books, the sale also featured Ishpeming 2024 historical calendars and library-themed t-shirts.

Kay Tupala, President of Friends of the Library, shared that the group is a staunch promoter of reading. She noted, “The books are two dollars for hardcover, one dollar for a paperback today. Tomorrow, they’re half-price in the morning, and in the afternoon, a bag of books is five dollars. Our aim is to circulate a multitude of books, hence the declining prices over the weekend.”

The book sale will continue on its final day, Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. ET.
