The Ann Arbor District Library is hosting an Asian and Pacific Islander American Festival Concert titled “Here/Now” in celebration of the Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. The concert, to be held on May 25, 2024 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm, will feature an evening of collaborative electro-acoustic improvisational music by APIA musicians from across the Midwest. The lineup includes pianist Chien-An Yuan, saxophonist Kenji Lee, guitarist Haruhi Kobayashi, taiko drummer Kioto Aoki, and multi-instrumentalists Julie Zhu and Naomi Columna.

Join us for a night of collaborative electro-acoustic improvisational music at our free APIA festival concert in celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month. This unique event features APIA musicians from across the Midwest, including talented pianist Chien-An Yuan, saxophonist Kenji Lee, guitarist Haruhi Kobayashi, taiko drummer Kioto Aoki, and multi-instrumentalists Julie Zhu & Naomi Columna.
