Renowned Sculptor Gary Vulcano Presents First Solo Exhibit in Phoenix

Multimedia artist and sculptor, Gary Vulcano, is launching his first solo exhibit, “expressiveVISIONS,” in Phoenix. The event will be held at The Herberger Center Gallery, 222 E. Monroe St, from Friday, Jan. 5 to Sunday, Jan. 28. The opening reception coincides with the Phoenix First Fridays live event at the Herberger and is open to the public.

Vulcano built a 45-year successful career in the advertising business before moving into metal sculpture five years ago. His unique art style blurs the lines between advertising and fine art, creating original pieces that narrate a story.

His artwork leverages contemporary aesthetics to evoke emotional responses, often surprising viewers with unexpected dialogues. The upcoming Herberger Center Gallery exhibit will feature about 30 of his latest innovative creations.

Visitors can participate in a drawing to take home a piece of Vulcano’s work. The artist’s work has been displayed at the Herberger Theater Art Galleries for years, where he also contributed artwork for the theater’s annual fundraiser.

Through the “Mighty Metal” program, Vulcano donates original artwork to children’s nonprofits and charity organizations nationwide. His artwork has been showcased in exhibitions across the Valley and he exhibits with various art leagues.
