Partridge Creek Farm Announces New Leadership Structure

Partridge Creek Farm (PCF), a non-profit educational farm, announced the appointment of two new directors – Sara Johnson as Executive Director, and Mary Antonia Andronis as Director of Programs and Partnerships.

Dan Perkins, PCF’s founder, praised the experience and expertise of both Johnson and Andronis. He stated that their appointments significantly strengthen PCF’s commitment to local food education and community health.

Johnson, a leader in the local food movement, was formerly the Market Manager for the Downtown Marquette Farmers Market, a part of the Marquette Downtown Development Authority. She was instrumental in the market’s growth, including the creation of various new food assistance programs and community offerings.

With a rich background in marketing and business consulting, Johnson joined PCF initially as a volunteer and later as a board member. Her leadership skills led to her recent promotion to Executive Director.

Andronis, the new Director of Programs and Partnerships, brings her passion for community, education, and agriculture to PCF. She has experience in community-based agricultural practices in remote regions and has developed relationships both locally and internationally.

Johnson and Andronis have assumed leadership roles at PCF, succeeding May Tsupros. Tsupros has accepted a new position at Michigan State University Center for Regional Food Systems and will also join the PCF Board of Directors.

Phil Toutant, PCF Board Chair, expressed his excitement for the transition, stating that Johnson and Andronis’ knowledge will be instrumental to their mission.
