Stunning Kathakali Show at U-M World Performance Studies Center

South Indian dancer Kalamandalam Manoj Kumar will be performing a stylized Indian dance theatre, where he will portray the character Ravana from the epic Ramayana. The performance is being organized by the U-M Center for World Performance Studies and will be preceded by an introduction from Kathakali scholar V. Kaladharan, followed by a Q&A session. Kumar will also be giving a lecture and demonstration of Kathakali techniques and movements at 10 a.m. on the same day.
