Suspect Charged in Gruesome Murder in Los Angeles

Samuel Haskell, aged 35, of Los Angeles, is under arrest and charged with murder in relation to the discovery of a woman’s torso in a San Fernando Valley trash bin, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

Held on a $2,000,000 bail, Haskell was tracked down and arrested at a Topanga mall, following video evidence from the Encino crime scene.

An individual rummaging through dumpster bins around 6 a.m. in the Ventura Boulevard and Rubio Avenue area unearthed the horrifying find inside a bag.

Additional Missing Persons

Authorities have also commenced a search for three of Haskell’s relatives who have disappeared. The police have been unable to establish contact with Haskell’s wife and her parents, identified as:

  • Mei Haskell;
  • Gaoshan Li, age 72, around 5-foot-6-inches tall, weighing about 140 pounds;
  • YanXiang Wang, aged 64, approximately 5-foot-4-inches tall, weighing around 135 pounds.

The Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services has taken custody of the three elementary-aged children who lived in the Clearstream Home.
