The news was announced on Sunday by authorities involved in the case, including the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation, FBI and Texas County Sheriff’s Office.

The bodies are yet to be identified and will be transported to the Oklahoma Chief Medical Examiner for identification and to ascertain the cause and manner of death, according to a statement.

The missing Kansas mothers, 27-year-old Veronica Butler and 39-year-old Jilian Kelley from Hugoton, have been missing since March 30. The last known detail about the women is that they were travelling in Oklahoma to collect Butler’s children for a birthday party in Kansas. Their vehicle was later found abandoned in rural Oklahoma, close to the Kansas border.

Four People Charged in Connection with Missing Kansas Mothers

Oklahoma police announced on Saturday that four people were arrested and charged in connection with the disappearances of Butler and Kelley. The charges include two counts of first-degree murder, two counts of kidnapping, and one count of conspiracy to commit murder in the first degree.

The individuals charged are Tad Bert Cullum (43), Tifany Machel Adams (54), Cole Earl Twombly (50), and Cora Twombly (44). As of Sunday night, all four remained in custody. ABC News has been unable to locate a legal representative for those charged.
