Early Sunday morning, a car crashed in the roundabout near Target on US-41 at Co. Road HQ in Marquette, Michigan. The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office reported that the incident, involving a single vehicle, occurred around 12:20 a.m.

The driver, a 28-year-old Negaunee man, was heading westbound on US-41 when his vehicle seemingly went over the island of the roundabout, sustaining heavy damage. There were no passengers in the car and the driver, thankfully, escaped unscathed.

Reports indicate that alcohol might have been a contributing factor in the unfortunate incident. The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by Marquette Township Fire & EMS, and Marquette Detailing. As of now, the crash is still under investigation.
