According to Mary Langowski, EVP and President, U.S. Healthcare, at Walgreens Boots Alliance (WBA), Jason’s in-depth understanding of market dynamics, regulatory requirements, and customer needs, coupled with his experience with complex healthcare organizations, will prove instrumental in strengthening Walgreens’ healthcare solutions and relationships.

Strengthening Walgreens’ Retail Pharmacy Services

Walgreens, a multi-faceted healthcare, pharmacy and retail business, serves millions of customers daily. In his new role, Stenta will aid the commercialization of B2B healthcare services and improve collaborations with payers, health system providers and life sciences companies. He aims to leverage Walgreens’ core strengths in retail pharmacy to provide partners with much-needed healthcare solutions.

This appointment is part of Walgreens’ ongoing turnaround efforts. In recent months, the retailer has hired executives including Tracey Koller, former Party City veteran, as SVP and Chief Merchandising Officer, and Sharmila Sudhakar as Group VP and Head of Walgreens Digital Commerce. The turnaround plan, announced in June 2024, includes the closure of several underperforming stores and a focus on enhancing the core retail pharmacy business, described by CEO Tim Wentworth as “central to the future of healthcare”.
