Naples, Florida: Best Place to Live in the US

Out of all the places to call home in America, U.S. News and World Report ranks Naples, Florida as the top spot. This ranking is based on key factors that matter most to residents, including crime rates, quality of education, air quality, and value for money. Naples’ pristine beaches, sprawling golf courses, and upscale dining and shopping make it an appealing residential destination.

Top 10 Best Places to Live in the US

U.S. News and World Report’s list saw Naples replacing Green Bay at the top. Here are their top 10 best places to live in the US:

  3. Colorado Springs, Colorado
  4. Greenville, South Carolina
  5. Charlotte, North Carolina
  6. Raleigh, North Carolina
  7. Huntsville, Alabama
  8. Virginia Beach, Virginia

  10. Boulder, Colorado

Best Places to Live in Pennsylvania

While no Pennsylvania cities made it to the top 10, several featured in the report. Pittsburgh ranked as the 36th best place to live in the US, even outscoring top-ranked Naples for quality of life and value. Lancaster ranked 79th, and Scranton claimed the 93rd spot.

Best Beaches and Large Cities in the US

Naples may be known for its beaches, but Trip Advisor ranks Siesta Beach in Florida’s Sarasota County, 115 miles north, as the second-best beach in the country. For those preferring larger cities, Houston, Texas, took the top spot among cities with a population over 2.5 million, though it ranked 97th overall.

Best Places to Retire in the US

U.S. News also evaluated cities for their desirability for retirees. None of the previously mentioned places made the top 10. However, Pennsylvania dominated, with seven of its cities, including top-ranked Harrisburg, among the best places to retire.
