Setting a new standard in the home fitness equipment industry, NordicTrack unveils the NordicTrack Ultra 1 treadmill. This premium fitness gear combines the functionality of high-end exercise equipment with the aesthetics of luxury furniture, making it an ideal addition to any stylish home or office.

With a price tag of $15,000, the NordicTrack Ultra 1 treadmill is the equivalent of the Ferrari or Lamborghini in a market filled with $2,000 treadmills. This luxury fitness equipment is a product of NordicTrack’s 50-year long journey in the home fitness industry, outlasting all other competitors in the market.

NordicTrack: Pioneering in Home Fitness

The NordicTrack Ultra 1 was launched at the Art Basel Miami Beach show, signifying its innovative and artistic design. This was followed by its introduction at the Paris Maison&Objet home decor and interiors fair.

As stated by Kevin Duffy, CEO of iFIT, NordicTrack’s parent company, the Ultra 1 was created to fill a gap in the high-end market. The treadmill perfectly combines form and function, celebrating NordicTrack’s 50th anniversary.

Unlike other NordicTrack and iFIT products, the Ultra 1 will only be available directly from iFit. Pre-orders are now being accepted, with shipments starting in May.

Outlasting the Home Fitness Market Competition

NordicTrack’s longevity in the tumultuous home fitness market is truly impressive. The company has weathered numerous ups and downs over the years, maintaining its leadership position.

In the early days, NordicTrack’s skier machine was among the pioneers in the industry, followed by treadmills and cross trainers. The fitness industry then experienced a digital revolution, with the integration of digital content and interactive training software in the hardware, proving to be a boon during the pandemic lockdowns.

Reports from the Sports and Fitness Industry Association show that the home fitness industry grew by an impressive 16% in 2021. This was due to an increase in at-home workouts, rising from 24% in 2019 to 36% in 2021.

However, after the initial boom, the industry returned to its usual growth rate of around 4%. The home fitness market grew from$11.2 billion in 2022 to $11.6 billion in 2023.

Significant Investments and Strategic Moves

While iFIT does not disclose its financial results, the company is backed by L Catterton, which invested $355 million in 2022. Managing partner Marc Magliacano hailed iFIT’s brands and integrated content platform as a “global scale” winner.

Later, Kevin Duffy joined iFIT as the new CEO, succeeding Sam Waterson. Duffy’s team includes experienced professionals from various industries.

With a content library of over 10k fitness and wellness courses, iFIT also introduced an AI Coach to provide personalized workouts based on an individual’s fitness level and goals.

NordicTrack Ultra 1: Redefining Home Fitness

The NordicTrack Ultra 1 aims to dominate the home fitness market with its unique blend of aesthetics and functionality. It’s made of wood, equipped with speakers and full-body fans, and comes with a redesigned controller resembling the throttle of an F15 airplane.

You can virtually experience a run at the Mt. Everest base camp, with the treadmill automatically adjusting to the inclines and declines of the trail. The treadmill even invites you to workout with a sensor that slowly begins to glow as you approach the machine.

They offer a “white glove” delivery service and can take away your old treadmill for recycling if desired.

Many customers buy new equipment like the Tour de France indoor bike, an officially licensed stationary bike that offers a virtual ride alongside leading cyclists.

Remaining at the Forefront of Home Fitness

NordicTrack, backed by iFIT, continues to earn accolades for its innovative products. They’ve been named one of the most innovative fitness and wellness companies of 2025 by Athletech News.

They’ve innovated further by partnering with Ergatta to make cardio workouts feel more like playing than exercising.

Duffy believes AI will be the ultimate game-changer in the connected fitness, health, and wellness industry, allowing people to be proactive about their health.
