Assault at Esporta Fitness

On April 17 at approximately 1:55 pm, local police responded to a disturbance at Esporta Fitness, located at 25145 Cedar Road. It was reported that two women were engaged in a physical altercation in the women’s locker room.

The woman alleged to have initiated the fight was apprehended. Identified as a 30-year-old Cleveland Heights resident, she was subsequently charged with assault and issued a criminal trespass warning. The other woman, a 33-year-old Bedford Heights resident, was not charged nor issued a warning.

Employee Disturbance at Preventive Health

A similar disturbance transpired at Preventive Health on 5676 Mayfield Road at around 5 p.m. on the same day. It was reported that an employee was causing a disturbance during her dismissal process.

Upon the arrival of the officers, the 58-year-old Cleveland Heights woman had already left the premises. However, she was later intercepted by an officer from Mayfield Heights Police Department on Mayfield Road. It was agreed that the woman was to stay away from the business premises in the future.

Domestic Violence on Brainard Road

On April 15 at around 7:20 pm, a domestic violence incident was reported on Brainard Road. A 39-year-old woman informed the police that she was physically assaulted by her 17-year-old daughter during an argument.

The mother, who appeared intoxicated, was taken to Hillcrest Hospital for necessary treatment. The daughter was subsequently questioned but was not charged.

Warrant Arrest on Interstate 271

On April 15, at around 10:45 a.m., a traffic stop on I-271 southbound at Cedar Road led to the arrest of a 23-year-old woman from Cleveland. She was found to have a suspended driver’s license and was wanted on warrants from several police departments including Beachwood, Mayfield Heights, North Olmsted, and South Euclid.

Psychiatric Crisis on Cheltenham Boulevard

A psychiatric situation unfolded on Cheltenham Boulevard on April 15 at around 4:10 p.m. A woman reported that her 23-year-old daughter was undergoing a mental health crisis and had jumped out of her car. The young woman was taken to MetroHealth Hospital for evaluation.
