Forbes Recognizes Penn State Health as Top Employer in Pennsylvania

Penn State Health, a significant employer with more than 18,000 people on its payroll, is thrilled to be recognized as one of America’s Best-In-State Employers 2023 by Forbes.

Forbes Ranking and Methodology

The esteemed health system clinched the 24th spot out of 97 organizations and companies in Pennsylvania. This ranking is the result of an independent survey of employees in organizations employing over 500 workers nationwide. The evaluation considered various aspects, including working conditions, diversity, salary, development potential, and company image.

Award Testament to Penn State Health’s Commitment

Steve Massini, Penn State Health CEO, sees this award as a testament to the organization’s unwavering commitment to its employees. He expressed his belief that the workforce is the company’s most valuable asset, and this recognition reinforces it.

“We are honored to receive this award,” Massini said. “It shows that we create a work environment where our employees can forge successful and fulfilling careers.”

Employee Satisfaction and Recommendation

Employees who participated in the survey were also asked about their likelihood of recommending their employer to family and friends. In addition, they evaluated other employers in their states and within their respective industries. The survey garnered over 2.1 million recommendations, with results presented on August 22 by Forbes and Statista Inc.
