Rebel Wilson’s Unique Gym Habit Unveiled
Rebel Wilson unveiled her unusual gym habit in a video she posted of her intensive workout routine. During her workout, she shared that she makes rhythmic grunting sounds while doing pull-down bar exercises.
Exploring Rebel’s Gym Routine
In the video, the Bridesmaid star, 44, and her fiancée Ramona Agruma are seen exercising vigorously at a Los Angeles gym. Rebel humorously captioned the footage, ‘For some reason, I HAVE to do the sound effects.’
Recent Weight Loss Journey
Last month, Wilson confessed to using the type 2 diabetes drug Ozempic to assist with her weight loss, but she insisted it was only after she had slimmed down on her own. The Australian actress lost 36 kilos (80lbs) during her ‘year of health’ in 2020, but claimed she did so without help from the trendy medication.
The 44-year-old said she ‘experimented’ with it briefly to maintain her weight loss after welcoming her baby daughter via surrogate in November 2022. She told The Diary of a CEO podcast with Steven Bartlett that she wished she had known about it sooner as it could have been a beneficial tool during her weight loss journey.
Maintaining Her Weight Loss
Rebel revealed that her use of the semaglutide injectable was more for maintenance after her initial weight loss. She was concerned that she wouldn’t be able to maintain the same level of focus and that the weight would return. She added that while she is no longer taking the medication, she would consider trying it again as it helped to curb her cravings for sweets and reduced her stress eating.
Rebel – whose polycystic ovarian syndrome affects fertility – originally decided to slim down at the urging of her IVF doctor in 2019. Rebel and her fiancée Ramona Agruma eventually welcomed their 16-month-old daughter Royce Lillian Elizabeth Wilson via surrogate in 2022.
The SAG Award nominee set a target weight of 75 kilos (165lb) and achieved it through a combination of high-intensity interval workouts with fitness trainer Jono Castano Acero, long hikes, and a high-protein/low-sugar diet.
