Top 10 Golf Courses in Pennsylvania

Looking for the best golf courses in Pennsylvania? LINKS Magazine recently ranked them and three Montgomery County courses made the cut.

Merion Golf Club East

Merion Golf Club East in Ardmore, renowned as the finest inland links in the country, made it to the list. This prestigious course was designed by Hugh Wilson and was immortalized by legendary golfers like Bobby Jones and Ben Hogan.

The Philadelphia Cricket Club’s Wissahickon Clubhouse

The list also includes The Philadelphia Cricket Club’s Wissahickon Clubhouse in Flourtown. The course designer, A.W. Tillinghast, put his heart and soul into this epic design. In fact, according to LINKS, he requested that his ashes be spread over the course where he loved life the most.

Huntingdon Valley Country Club

The Huntingdon Valley Country Club’s 18-hole Toomey/Flynn course also made the list. Known for its challenging landscape, this course tests the skills of every golfer who plays here. William Flynn and Howard Toomey designed this revered course, which first opened its greens in 1928.
