Former Lieutenant Governor of Georgia, Geoff Duncan, a lifelong member of the GOP, has announced he will support Joe Biden over Donald Trump in the 2024 election. This decision marks the first time Duncan will vote for a candidate from a different party. Duncan criticizes Trump’s attempts to undermine the 2020 election and his involvement in criminal cases, and urges fellow conservatives to do the same, asserting that the GOP will not rebuild until it moves on from the Trump era.

Longtime GOP member and staunch conservative, Geoff Duncan, is voting for a different party’s candidate for the first time.

“I’ve been a GOP member my entire life. This November, I’m choosing a decent person I disagree with on policy over a criminal defendant without a moral compass,” said Duncan, referencing his decision to vote for Biden over Trump.

Duncan urges fellow conservatives to do the same, rather than supporting Trump, who has attempted to undermine the 2020 election with fraudulent elector schemes and has been embroiled in numerous criminal cases, including the New York hush-money case and Florida classified documents case.

“The GOP can’t rebuild until we move past the Trump era. This leaves Republicans like myself, who are conservative but not angry, no other choice but to vote for Biden,” concluded Duncan.
