The governors expressed their goal to protect residents by “science, not politics”. This unified response is in opposition to what they believe to be the Trump administration’s destruction of the CDC, the central agency for vaccine guidance.
Troublingly, over 1,000 current and former Department of Health and Human Services employees have demanded Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to resign, accusing him of endangering the nation’s health.
The West Coast Health Alliance is among multiple states seeking to form health-related partnerships to provide consistent, science-based recommendations. The alliance promises to uphold the integrity and transparency of upcoming vaccine recommendations.
