Wake County Crash Investigation: One Dead and Another Seriously Injured

A deadly crash in Wake County is currently under investigation by authorities. The incident, which occurred around 10 p.m. Sunday night, resulted in one fatality and another person seriously injured.

The crash took place at the intersection of Louisburg Road and Zebulon Road. According to the State Highway Patrol, it began with a vehicle chase initiated by a deputy from the Wake County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect, who was pulled over on I-540 near Louisburg Road, failed to stop. This led to a pursuit that ended when the suspect’s vehicle collided with a black sedan and another car at the Louisburg-Zebulon intersection.

The suspect, who died in the crash, was identified as the one involved in the chase. Another person was seriously injured, while the intersection near Zebulon Road is expected to stay closed overnight for the ongoing investigation.

Second Louisburg Road Crash Scene

Apart from this incident, a second crash scene was reported at Louisburg Road near Fox Road on the same night. This crash involved a Wake County EMS vehicle, however, thankfully no injuries were sustained.
